Product Description

The main advantage of the hot forging hydraulic press is that the material enters at a slower pace inside the die and thus fills it in a more complete and accurated manner; in this way the following machining works are minimised. Furthermore hydraulic presses, when compared to power hammers, can complete the whole job in one cycle (when having a constant force independent from the moving table position), thus allowing an increased production rate. For the hot upsetting process RAYMAX has developed a type of press that can be used with multiple intermediate forging, allowing the progressive roughing of pre-heated billets, significantly cost- and time- saving. In the field of upsetting, requirements depend on the product and on the sector. The process takes place with high temperature material (e.g. up to 1150 ° C for steel). The high temperature is necessary to avoid the work hardening of the metal during deformation. This process is always preliminary to further (polishing, coating, finishing) that will define the final product.
